The Grassroots Effort

In the weeks after the General Election, I have had several people ask me via Facebook and in person, how Donald Trump still managed to beat the Clinton Machine. I told them one thing, the grassroots campaign. It isn’t the money that wins you an election, it’s the boots on the ground that can win (or lose) an election.

Through the Craven County Republican Party, I have been able to be a small part of the grassroots effort. I have put out signs, volunteered in the office, answered questions, etc. These are all ways that anyone can help a grassroots organization. When Mr.Trump accepted the Republican nomination at the R.N.C. Convention, he was being counted out by a lot of people, including the liberal media. There are many ways to be involved in a political campaign, but the best way, in my opinion, is the grassroots effort. You have to build a campaign from the ground up. You have to have volunteers, willing to sacrifice hours of their time, to help YOU get elected. Without the grassroots effort that Donald Trump had, we may not have had a good outcome!

You can become a part of the grassroots effort in several ways: Contact your precinct captain, and contacting your party chairman. One of the two will assist you in the best way to get involved! That’s how I got started! I emailed Carl Mischka one afternoon, and told him that I was interested in becoming a part of the Republican Party. He was excited (to say the least), to see a young man interested in becoming a volunteer.

All it takes to get started is one e-mail, one phone call, or one text message. It is very easy to become a volunteer, and become an integral part of the grassroots effort for ANY campaign. I also pray that each of you, have a blessed Christmas and a wonderful New Year! We have taken the first step in taking back our country, let’s not stop in 2016!

We will Make America Great Again!
